Around 1.4 Million Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia Ahead of Hajj 2025

As of Friday, May 30, nearly 1.4 million pilgrims have entered Saudi Arabia ahead of the upcoming Hajj season. The General Directorate of Passports reported a total of 1,396,644 arrivals through the Kingdom’s ports.

According to the latest figures, 1,326,323 pilgrims entered via airports, reflecting the overwhelming reliance on air travel. In addition, 65,228 arrived through land borders, while 5,093 entered by sea.

The Directorate confirmed that all ports are operating with advanced entry systems to streamline immigration procedures. These systems are supported by multilingual staff trained to handle high volumes of international pilgrims.

Saudi Arabia continues to enhance its services for Hajj participants, using the latest technologies to ensure a seamless arrival experience. Airport and land port terminals have been upgraded to manage the surge in arrivals during this holy period.

Officials reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining safety, efficiency, and comfort for pilgrims as they arrive from across the globe to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
