Ambassador Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, confirmed that daily consultations between Kuwait and China are continuing to finalize the implementation of agreements signed during His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s visit to Beijing. He reported that three out of seven agreements have been fully executed, with ongoing efforts to complete the remaining ones.
At an annual Ramadan Ghabga gathering, Ambassador Hayat discussed upcoming high-level Chinese visits to oversee key projects, including the sewage project and the Mubarak Port project. A Chinese government-nominated company will visit Kuwait on March 22 and 28 to discuss the sewage project, while the Chinese Vice Minister of Transport will visit from April 6 to 18 to oversee the Mubarak Port development.
Regarding the workers’ and residential cities project, Ambassador Hayat revealed that Kuwait is awaiting the Chinese government’s nomination of a state-owned company with experience in executing large-scale international projects.
He reiterated Kuwait’s commitment to advancing its partnership with China, underscoring that the time had come to implement the signed agreements after securing necessary approvals.
