Alfardan Exchange Qatar Airways Partnership Launches Avios Rewards for Financial Services

Alfardan Exchange, a leading provider of currency exchange and financial services in Qatar, has entered into a strategic partnership with Qatar Airways Privilege Club. This new Alfardan Exchange partnership allows customers to earn Avios points while conducting everyday financial transactions.

Through this collaboration, Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can collect Avios when using various eligible services at Alfardan Exchange. These include international money transfers, foreign currency purchases, gold bars and coin purchases, and loading or reloading Alfardan’s Multi-Currency Travel Card.

Importantly, the rewards are available at all Alfardan Exchange branches across Qatar. In addition, customers can also access them via the mobile application, available 24/7 on the Apple Store and Google Play. By simply entering their Privilege Club number in the app—or providing it in person—customers can immediately link transactions and begin collecting Avios.

Furthermore, Bashar Alwaqfi, CEO of Alfardan Exchange, highlighted the significance of this move. “This initiative enhances our loyalty program and strengthens our relationship with clients,” he noted. Moreover, he expressed appreciation to Qatar Central Bank for supporting innovation in the exchange industry.

Christophe Guittard, Senior Vice President of Qatar Airways Business-to-Consumer, added, “This collaboration reflects our aim to integrate rewarding experiences into our members’ daily lives.” He emphasized that the new program makes collecting Avios easier and more relevant.

Notably, Alfardan Exchange has earned multiple regional accolades. Forbes Middle East ranked it among the top 20 exchange companies in the Middle East and the top five in digital transformation across the GCC. In addition, it is the only Qatari exchange house on that list.

Recently, the company received the 2024 Arab Banking Excellence Award and was recognized in 2025 as Qatar’s top performer in remittance services.
