Ajman Enforces Petroleum Vehicle Ban to Protect Public Safety

Ajman has introduced a petroleum vehicle ban to enhance safety in residential and high-density districts. Trucks carrying fuel must avoid parking outside designated zones, as doing so risks residents’ safety and public well-being. The emirate’s Supreme Energy Committee will oversee the enforcement of this new regulation, coordinating closely with judicial officers.

Officials will document violations and impose escalating administrative fines. The first offense carries a Dh5,000 fine. The second offense increases the fine to Dh10,000. A third offense results in a Dh20,000 fine. Authorities will impound repeat-offense vehicles and sell them at public auction with the Department of Municipality and Planning.

The petroleum vehicle ban also allows authorities to target companies that handle fuel products. They can suspend or revoke licenses if repeated violations occur. When trucks park in crowded areas or create immediate safety hazards, officials have the authority to remove them on the owner’s expense. Authorities prioritize public safety over operational convenience with this measure.

Furthermore, the committee plans to monitor compliance actively, using inspections and reports from local authorities. Drivers and transport companies will be required to follow clear rules regarding designated parking locations for petroleum transport vehicles. These measures aim to minimize the risk of accidents, spills, or fire hazards in populated neighborhoods.

The ban applies to all types of petroleum transport vehicles within Ajman, reinforcing the government’s commitment to safety and urban order. It also sets a precedent for strict enforcement, demonstrating that authorities are willing to act decisively against violations. Officials expect the regulation to improve public confidence in safety measures and reduce potential risks in residential and commercial areas.

The petroleum vehicle ban will officially take effect 30 days after its issuance, giving drivers and companies time to adjust operations and ensure compliance. Authorities encourage cooperation from transport companies and residents alike to uphold safety standards.

Through this comprehensive approach, Ajman aims to strengthen public safety, promote responsible petroleum transport, and maintain orderly urban environments while deterring unsafe practices.
