Abdullah Al Yaqoub Ranked 9th in Flyweight Division of BRAVE Combat Federation

BRAVE Combat Federation recently unveiled its flyweight rankings for the upcoming 2025 season. Among the top fighters, Bahrain’s own Abdullah Al Yaqoub has secured an impressive 9th place. This ranking highlights the competitive nature of the flyweight division, widely regarded as one of the best in the world.

At the top of the rankings is the undefeated British star Muhammad Mukaev. Mukaev made a successful return to BRAVE CF in 2024, after a two-year absence. He claimed a dominant victory over Filipino fighter Joe Vincent So at BRAVE CF 91. This submission victory, secured through a “Brabo Choke,” took place during BRAVE International Fight Week in Bahrain, further solidifying his position at the top.

Right behind Mukaev is former flyweight champion Jose “Shorty” Torres from the United States. Torres announced his return to the flyweight division and secured second place in the rankings. His return promises to bring new excitement to the flyweight category, with fans eagerly awaiting his next bouts.

Georgian fighter Bidzina Javashelishvili, who remains undefeated in BRAVE CF, claims the third spot. His performances continue to impress, making him a dangerous contender in the division. Kazakh champion Dias follows in fourth place after a strong promotional debut at BRAVE CF 91. Dias defeated Brazilian fighter Marciano Ferreira, who landed in fifth place.

The flyweight division also features fighters such as Luthando Pico, Gerard Burns, and combat sambo world champion Velimurad Alkhasov. However, Bahrain’s Abdullah Al Yaqoub stands out with his 9th place ranking. Al Yaqoub, determined to rise in the ranks, has his sights set on breaking into the top five and entering the title race in 2025.

As BRAVE CF moves forward with its 2025 season, the flyweight division promises to deliver thrilling matchups. With so many talented fighters, including Abdullah Al Yaqoub, the competition is expected to intensify. Fans can look forward to what will undoubtedly be an exciting year for the flyweight category.

The flyweight division of BRAVE Combat Federation remains one of the most competitive and entertaining in the world, and Abdullah Al Yaqoub is certainly one to watch as he aims for the top.
