A Childhood Maze Turns into Bahrain’s New Interactive Entertainment Attraction

The Dawashik Maze interactive experience has opened as a fresh entertainment concept in Bahrain. From the beginning, the Dawashik Maze interactive experience blends nostalgia with modern play. Moreover, the project introduces a family-friendly attraction inspired by shared childhood memories. Creators designed the maze to encourage interaction, teamwork, and curiosity across different age groups. As a result, the experience appeals to both children and adults alike.

The maze runs for seven minutes in total and includes several themed rooms. Each room allows participants one to one and a half minutes to complete a task. Therefore, the experience maintains a fast pace and steady excitement. The creators explained that childhood games inspired the entire concept. Specifically, they recalled children building castles and houses from quilts and mattresses. Consequently, they recreated that atmosphere using puzzles and playful challenges.

Additionally, the creators said visits to similar attractions abroad shaped their vision. In particular, experiences in Riyadh encouraged them to launch the idea locally. However, they adapted the maze to fit Bahrain’s cultural context. Thus, the project delivers something new while remaining familiar. The Dawashik Maze interactive experience aims to revive joyful memories through hands-on participation.

Upon entering the first room, players face a game inspired by a simple childhood moment. Many children once read “Try again” on popsicle sticks after finishing ice cream. To recreate that feeling, participants select sticks from a bag. Only a few sticks display the word “Congratulations.” Therefore, luck and anticipation shape the outcome. Winners move immediately to the next room.

The second room focuses on teamwork and quick thinking. Participants select animal pieces and assemble them within a limited time. This challenge recalls classic tabletop games from earlier decades. Moreover, the game encourages communication and cooperation. As a result, players experience a strong sense of shared achievement.

Next, participants enter the Sewing Box challenge. Several boxes contain sweets and biscuits, while one hides sewing tools. Players gently move each box and listen carefully to the sound inside. Accordingly, attention and patience become essential skills. The task reflects traditional household memories many families recognize.

Beyond these rooms, the maze includes additional games inspired by everyday moments from the past. Each challenge aims to transport participants into earlier eras through simple mechanics. Rather than relying on technology, the maze focuses on tactile interaction. Consequently, the experience feels personal and engaging.

Organizers believe the project fills a gap in Bahrain’s entertainment scene. Furthermore, they see strong potential for repeat visits. Families can share laughter while reconnecting with familiar memories. Ultimately, the Dawashik Maze interactive experience offers more than entertainment. It creates a space where nostalgia and creativity meet in a playful, modern setting.
