Oman Signs Three Landmark Tourism Investment Deals Worth OMR 56 Million

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in Oman has signed three usufruct contracts with a total investment value of OMR 56 million to develop major tourism projects across the country.

The agreements include the establishment of two integrated tourism complexes in the Wilayats of Khasab and Nakhal, as well as the development of Wadi Shab in Sur.

These projects form part of the Sultanate’s ongoing strategy to boost tourism infrastructure, diversify the economy, and create job opportunities through public-private partnerships.

According to the ministry, the integrated complexes in Khasab and Nakhal will include eco-friendly resorts, hospitality units, leisure amenities, and cultural attractions. The Wadi Shab development will enhance access, visitor facilities, and eco-tourism activities in one of Oman’s most iconic natural destinations.

The Ministry emphasized that these investments reflect a growing interest from both local and international investors in Oman’s tourism sector, particularly in heritage-rich and environmentally significant areas.

The projects are aligned with Oman Vision 2040, aiming to position the Sultanate as a leading regional destination for sustainable and experience-driven tourism.

Construction work is expected to begin later this year, with phased completion over the next few years.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism reaffirmed its commitment to enabling private-sector involvement and ensuring long-term benefits for local communities and national development.
