The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has officially announced the start of the voting process for the 2024–2025 QFA Awards. These prestigious awards, known as the QFA Awards 2025, have their ceremony scheduled for May 26, 2025. This announcement was made during a recent board meeting, where preparations for the event were discussed.
The voting categories for the awards include Best Player, Best Coach, Best Under-23 Player, and the Best Goalkeeper Award for the first time. Nomination forms and statistical reference lists have been shared with key stakeholders. These stakeholders include coaches from Ooredoo Stars League clubs and heads of club companies. They also include coaches of the Qatar national and Olympic teams, media representatives, and others involved in the process.
In a notable development, Roger Guedes from Al Rayyan has won the Mansour Muftah Award for Top Scorer. He achieved this after an impressive 21 goals in the Ooredoo Stars League.
The deadline for submitting nominations for the voting-based awards is May 13, 2025. Afterward, the screening process will take place to finalize the list of candidates. This process will also determine the winners. Additionally, non-voting categories such as the Football for All Award, Best Referees Award, and the newly introduced Best Stand Award will also be presented during the ceremony.
