Saudi Cinema Sector Growth in 2024 Hits New High, Box Office Tops SAR 845 Million

The Saudi Film Commission released its 2024 Box Office Report, revealing strong momentum in the Kingdom’s cinema industry.
The data reflects Saudi cinema sector growth in 2024, aligned with Vision 2030’s creative economy goals.

According to the report, total box office revenue reached SAR 845.6 million for the year.
Over 17.5 million tickets were sold nationwide, with an average ticket price of SAR 48.2.

Cinema halls across Saudi Arabia screened 504 films throughout 2024.
Among them, 18 were Saudi productions, generating SAR 56.8 million in revenue from 1.4 million ticket sales.

The performance of Saudi films signals rising local interest and support for national content.
Audiences continue to embrace stories that reflect Saudi culture and talent.

The report highlights the presence of 64 operational cinemas in 10 different regions across the Kingdom.
These venues house a total of 630 screens, helping expand film accessibility and cinematic culture.

This growth created over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs across the film industry.
