Qatar and Saudi Arabia Hold First Joint Meeting to Activate Anti-Drug Trafficking Agreement

The first meeting of the Qatari-Saudi joint committee responsible for implementing the bilateral agreement on combating illicit drug trafficking was held in Doha.

Leading the Qatari delegation was Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Khater, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Operations Department at the General Directorate of Drug Enforcement. The Saudi delegation was headed by Colonel Mansoor bin Saleh Al Ghamdi, Director of International Cooperation at the General Directorate of Narcotics Control.

The meeting addressed several key items on its agenda and concluded with the adoption of relevant recommendations. These recommendations aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the fight against drug trafficking. The joint initiative reflects the shared commitment of Qatar and Saudi Arabia to regional security and coordinated anti-narcotics efforts.
