Bahrain Hosts Global Conference to Promote AI in Sports

Bahrain is preparing to host a major virtual event that highlights the growing impact of AI in sports. This international conference, set to take place on Thursday, will bring together experts from around the world.

The event reflects Bahrain’s commitment to using modern technologies to boost its sports sector. Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa is sponsoring the event. He serves as First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

Officials say Shaikh Khalid’s support shows his strong belief in tech innovation. His goal is to apply tools like AI in sports to enhance performance and training.

Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, expressed his gratitude. He thanked all contributors for their hard work.

The conference will cover a wide range of topics. These include case studies on real-world applications and new ways to solve AI challenges in sports. Other subjects include metaverse tools, blockchain in esports, and time-lapse analysis in football.

One session will focus on SoccerNet and its evolution at KAUST and FIFA. Each presentation will explore how AI in sports is shaping the future of training and performance.
