ADNOC Opens Beijing Office, Signs Landmark LNG Deals with China

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has officially inaugurated its new office in Beijing, marking a significant step in strengthening its business relationships with Chinese partners and customers. The announcement was made during a high-profile ceremony attended by senior officials and representatives from ADNOC’s Chinese partners, including China National Petroleum Corporation, Zhenhua Oil, and Wanhua Chemical Group.

During the event, ADNOC unveiled three new liquefied natural gas (LNG) agreements, including the largest LNG deal ever signed between China and the United Arab Emirates. The agreements are part of ADNOC’s broader strategy to expand its sales and marketing presence in China and support long-term energy cooperation.

Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC CEO, said the Beijing office represents a new chapter in the company’s partnership with China. He emphasized ADNOC’s commitment to working closely with Chinese partners across the entire energy value chain and contributing to China’s energy security.

One of the key agreements is a 15-year LNG sales and purchase deal with ENN LNG (Singapore), a subsidiary of ENN Natural Gas, which will see up to 1 million metric tons of LNG supplied annually from ADNOC’s low-carbon Ruwais project.

ADNOC Trading, a wholly owned subsidiary of ADNOC, signed the other two LNG agreements with CNOOC Gas & Power Group and Zhenhua Oil.

ADNOC highlighted that China has become a major importer of its products through years of strategic collaboration. The company reiterated its commitment to being a long-term, reliable energy partner for China, with a focus on deepening economic ties and supporting sustainable development.
