Katara International Arabian Horse Festival Concludes Accompanying Artistic Activities

The artistic activities accompanying the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival 2025 have successfully concluded on Katara Corniche. The event showcased the participation of esteemed visual artists from Qatar and across the globe. It provided a dynamic platform where visual arts intersected with the elegance of Arabian horses. This blend of cultural heritage with contemporary artistic expressions was truly impressive.

The festival’s artistic segment was more than an exhibition—it served as an interactive space fostering cultural and artistic dialogue. Attendees engaged directly with artists, gaining insight into various mural painting and saddle art techniques.

One of the highlights was the Saddle Painting event. In this event, Qatari artist Maryam Khalifa Al Sada demonstrated her mastery of traditional art. Her oil painting featured Arabian horses amid palm trees and Qatari farmlands. The painting showcased a realistic yet heritage-driven style.

Veteran Qatari artist Hassan Jasoum, participating for the second consecutive year, introduced advanced leather painting techniques. His latest artwork displayed remarkable growth in capturing equine details with increased technical precision and depth.

The Murals event brought together artists employing diverse artistic approaches. Algerian artist Muammar Tazi created a mural depicting a century-old farm. Horses roamed freely amidst Qatari heritage elements such as traditional farms and pigeon towers. His sophisticated use of acrylic paints accentuated the authenticity of the scene.

Moroccan artist Ali Al Nazir merged Arabic calligraphy with Islamic motifs in his mural. This artwork featured a noble hadith reflecting Arab civilization’s scientific and cultural accomplishments. His work emphasized the significance of preserving Arab identity and heritage through modern artistic interpretations.

The Katara International Arabian Horse Festival continues to establish itself as a premier global event. It blends equestrian excellence with artistic and cultural expression. Katara remains dedicated to fostering creativity and heritage, reinforcing Doha’s standing as a vibrant cultural hub. The festival celebrates Arab art and tradition.
