Bahrain’s Civil Defense Trains Second Batch of Volunteers to expand Emergency Response

The Civil Defense authorities continue advancing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness across the country. The General Directorate of Civil Defense welcomed the second group of volunteers to its Foundation Program. These volunteers joined the Civil Defense School to begin their training journey.

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Interior’s broader strategy to improve community partnership in civil protection. By offering hands-on training, the program prepares citizens to play active roles in national emergencies. Every step reflects a commitment to improving public safety and rapid crisis response.

Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al Kubaisi, Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, shared key insights during the event. He highlighted the importance of community involvement in civil defense operations.

The program falls under the leadership vision of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, emphasizes community partnership in civil protection as a national priority. His guidance shapes strategies that involve citizens in maintaining safety and order.

The Foundation Program offers both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Volunteers learn how to manage emergency situations, support evacuation efforts, and provide basic rescue assistance. This approach ensures volunteers become confident and capable under pressure.

Ongoing training also promotes teamwork and fast decision-making. Trainers simulate real-life scenarios to prepare volunteers for unpredictable events. These efforts strengthen the nation’s ability to respond to fires, floods, and other disasters effectively.

Above all, the program aims to build trust between civil authorities and citizens. Through community partnership in civil protection, officials believe that public engagement can transform national safety systems. As new volunteers join, the country moves one step closer to a safer and more prepared future.
