Close behind Sur, Qalhat and Bausher both recorded maximum temperatures of 40.6°C. The heatwave spread to various parts of Oman, with Al Awabi registering a temperature of 39.7°C. The nearby wilayats of Samail and Buraimi recorded temperatures of 39.6°C and 39°C, respectively. These temperatures indicate a consistent rise in heat across the country, intensifying as summer progresses.
Other wilayats also saw significant increases in temperature. For instance, Al Mazyunah reached 38.8°C, while Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan recorded 38.7°C. Mahada’s temperature touched 38.5°C, while Fahud saw 38.4°C. The heat continued to spread, with Um al Zamaim experiencing 38.2°C.
