Qatar-Funded Hospital in Gaza Resumes Critical Services

Doha – HH The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics in Gaza has resumed operations, providing essential care to patients and the wounded. The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) funds the hospital, ensuring continued medical support despite ongoing challenges.

Fahad Al Sulaiti, Director General of QFFD, highlighted the significance of reopening the hospital. “Despite the difficulties, dedicated efforts have made this possible. The hospital’s return to service is a crucial step, given the worsening healthcare situation in Gaza. The urgent need for medical care makes this facility a beacon of hope,” he said.

Al Sulaiti emphasized that Qatar remains committed to supporting the Palestinian people by maintaining essential healthcare services. He reaffirmed that, despite obstacles, Qatar continues to stand by its Palestinian brothers, ensuring access to necessary medical care during these difficult times.
