Air India Launches Direct Flights from Bhubaneswar to Abu Dhabi

Air India is expanding its services with direct flights from Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to Abu Dhabi. The flights are set to launch this June. This new route will significantly enhance connectivity between India and the UAE capital.

Following the success of Bhubaneswar’s direct flights to Dubai, which have been fully booked since their debut in May 2023, this new route to Abu Dhabi is expected to attract similar demand.

Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, may be a new name for some. However, it is a city rich in history and culture. Although officially established in 1948, the city’s roots date back to the 3rd century BCE. It has been influenced by Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain traditions.

Not only is the city home to ancient monuments and stunning Kalingan temples, but it also boasts vibrant art and craft villages. The surrounding lush forests and wildlife offer a unique combination of architectural marvels and natural beauty. Bhubaneswar is truly a hidden gem for history enthusiasts and nature lovers.

With this new route, Air India is making travel between Bhubaneswar and Abu Dhabi easier. This is beneficial whether you’re flying for business, shopping, or to explore the rich cultures of both cities.
