During its Tuesday session, the Cabinet reviewed the results of discussions between the crown prince and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Their conversation emphasized Saudi Arabia’s dedication to resolving the Ukraine crisis through diplomacy. Officials stressed the importance of international cooperation in securing lasting peace in Ukraine.
Saudi Arabia and Ukraine also acknowledged their growing economic ties. Both nations welcomed the re-establishment of the Joint Business Council, which will strengthen their economic partnership. The Cabinet reaffirmed its commitment to fostering trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
The meeting also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s role in regional diplomacy. Leaders reviewed recent global and regional meetings held in the Kingdom. These gatherings focused on strengthening partnerships and promoting dialogue to address shared challenges. Officials agreed that collaboration remains key to regional stability.
The Cabinet praised the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s recent statement, issued during its meeting in Jeddah. It reiterated Saudi Arabia’s firm opposition to any plans for displacing the Palestinian people. Additionally, leaders emphasized their commitment to advancing the two-state solution and working with global partners to ensure lasting peace in the region.
Saudi Arabia also expressed support for Syria’s stability. Officials commended Syria’s efforts to maintain civil peace and build strong state institutions. The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Cabinet acknowledged the country’s economic progress, highlighting strong growth in 2024. Officials credited Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives for driving national projects and economic expansion. They emphasized the Kingdom’s focus on sustainable development and long-term prosperity.
In addition, the Cabinet celebrated Saudi Flag Day, recognizing its historical significance. Leaders described it as a symbol of national pride and unity, reflecting the Kingdom’s enduring legacy.
