Oman Air Achieves High Ranking for Punctuality in 2024

Oman Air has ranked as the second most punctual airline in the Middle East and Africa for 2024. The airline achieved an impressive on-time performance of 90.27%. This remarkable achievement surpasses the global winner’s performance of 86.70%. Oman Air’s consistent punctuality has earned it a top spot for three consecutive years, with previous rankings of first place in 2022 and 2023.

This recognition comes from Cirium’s annual On-Time Performance Review, a key report that monitors airline operations. The ranking affirms Oman Air’s operational excellence and commitment to punctuality. According to Cirium, an on-time flight arrives within 14 minutes and 59 seconds of its scheduled gate time.

Captain Nasser Al Salmi, Chief Operating Officer of Oman Air, received the award on behalf of the airline. During the ceremony, Mahesh Jugoo, Cirium’s Head of Middle East & Africa, praised the airline’s performance. Captain Al Salmi shared his thoughts, saying, “Being on time is crucial to our passengers. Our team works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure seamless travel experiences.”

The recognition reinforces Oman Air’s reputation as one of the world’s most reliable airlines. Mahesh Jugoo further added, “Oman Air continues to set high standards in punctuality. Their consistent operational performance reflects their dedication to passenger satisfaction.”

Cirium’s On-Time Performance Review has been an industry standard for 16 years. The review uses data from over 600 real-time feeds to provide an unbiased look at global airline operations. The program also benefits from guidance by an expert advisory board with years of experience in the aviation sector.

With this continued recognition for its punctuality, Oman Air strengthens its position as a leader in operational excellence. The airline’s consistent performance showcases its dedication to providing timely and reliable service to its passengers.
