Kuwait Police Campaign Arrests 125 Wanted People

Kuwait police arrested 125 people wanted by security authorities during a nationwide campaign targeting violations and outstanding cases. The General Department of Emergency Police conducted the operation across every governorate, recording 203 security and traffic actions. The Kuwait police campaign forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen public safety and improve compliance with traffic regulations.

According to the Ministry of Interior, officers also arrested four people found carrying drugs during the operation. Additionally, police detained one person for possessing alcohol and two others found in what authorities described as an abnormal condition. The ministry did not provide further details about the circumstances surrounding these individual cases.

Officers also detained two people wanted in connection with criminal cases. Meanwhile, they took 25 people without identification documents into custody during the campaign. These actions formed part of the broader operation, which addressed several categories of security concerns across the country.

Vehicle enforcement represented another significant part of the campaign. Police seized eight vehicles sought under court orders, while officers impounded 23 others for traffic violations. Furthermore, authorities worked alongside Kuwait Municipality to remove 13 abandoned vehicles from public areas.

The operation combined security checks with traffic enforcement and municipal coordination. By addressing outstanding warrants, suspected offences and vehicle violations together, authorities aimed to reinforce compliance with existing laws. However, the ministry did not specify the locations of individual arrests or identify the offences associated with each person.

The Ministry of Interior said the campaign reflects continuing field operations designed to maintain a visible police presence. It also emphasized efforts to locate wanted individuals, address violations and improve discipline on Kuwait’s roads. Such operations allow officers to pursue several enforcement priorities within a coordinated nationwide effort.

Following the arrests, authorities initiated the relevant legal procedures. Officials referred the individuals involved to the appropriate authorities for further action, according to the ministry’s statement. The announcement did not disclose whether any detainees had subsequently been released or faced formal charges.

The Kuwait police campaign also highlights cooperation between different public authorities, particularly through the joint removal of abandoned vehicles. Such coordination enables police and municipal teams to address separate enforcement responsibilities during the same operation. Nevertheless, the ministry did not provide a breakdown of the 203 recorded actions by governorate or enforcement category.

Authorities have not announced additional details about the operation’s duration, the number of officers involved or whether further campaigns will follow. Even so, the results indicate a broad enforcement effort covering security matters, outstanding court requests and road-related violations.

The Ministry of Interior continues to present these field operations as part of its wider approach to public security. Through coordinated patrols and legal enforcement, authorities seek to identify wanted individuals and address violations throughout Kuwait.
