Saudi Warning Lifted notices brought relief to residents of Riyadh and Al-Kharj Governorate on Wednesday, October 14. Saudi Civil Defense confirmed that the immediate danger had passed after issuing alerts through the National Early Warning Platform.
The agency announced that conditions in Riyadh City had returned to a state where the warning could be withdrawn. It also confirmed that the alert for Al-Kharj Governorate had ended. However, officials continued to urge residents to follow safety guidance and remain attentive to further instructions.
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, spokesman for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, reported a related security development. He stated on social media that defense forces had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile targeting Riyadh. His announcement came on the same day that Civil Defense lifted its warnings.
Although authorities declared the immediate danger over, they continued to emphasize responsible public behavior. Civil Defense advised residents to follow official safety instructions and avoid gathering near potentially dangerous locations. It also discouraged people from filming incidents or sharing unverified information about security operations.
Furthermore, the agency highlighted legal restrictions concerning footage and information connected to missile and drone interceptions. It warned that recording, publishing, or circulating details about interception efforts and impact sites could expose individuals to legal liability. The reminder referenced guidance from the Ministry of Interior.
These instructions aim to prevent the spread of sensitive information during security incidents. They also encourage residents to rely on official announcements rather than circulating potentially misleading reports. Consequently, the public has been urged to exercise caution when posting images, videos, or claims online.
The Saudi Warning Lifted announcement also included a reminder about emergency assistance. Civil Defense recommended that residents call 911 whenever they encounter an emergency requiring immediate support. Following this guidance can help people contact the appropriate authorities without unnecessary delays.
Residents should continue monitoring official communications for any new alerts or instructions. Although Wednesday’s warnings have ended, authorities have emphasized that public cooperation remains important. By following safety guidance and avoiding the circulation of sensitive material, residents can support emergency response efforts.
