The Casagrand UAE Project has entered its next construction phase after Indian property developer Casagrand appointed Jaseera Building Contracting as its main contractor. The companies signed the agreement at Casagrand’s Dubai office during a ceremony attended by senior representatives from both businesses.
The development, named Casagrand Hermina, marks the group’s first project in the United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, the contractor’s appointment follows the completion of foundation works, allowing the project to progress towards its next stage. The developer expects to hand over the residential development during the second quarter of 2028.
Located at Dubai Islands, Casagrand Hermina forms part of the emirate’s growing waterfront property market. The location aims to attract regional and international buyers seeking residential opportunities with long-term value. Furthermore, the project contributes to Casagrand’s plans to expand its presence in the UAE.
The Indian developer brings more than 22 years of experience in the real estate sector. Its portfolio includes over 180 completed and ongoing projects, according to the company. In addition, Casagrand plans to develop more than six million square feet of residential and mixed-use properties across the UAE over the next three years.
Luthfullah K, Casagrand’s director in Dubai, described the contractor appointment as an important milestone for the project. He said the agreement represented progress for both the development team and buyers who had invested their confidence in the company. He also pointed to Dubai Islands’ growing appeal as a place to live, visit and invest.
Luthfullah emphasized the importance of delivering the development according to schedule and expected quality standards. With the foundations completed, he said the project now has a contracting partner ready to advance construction. Consequently, the developer aims to maintain progress while meeting its commitments to customers.
Mohammed Konikkal, managing director of Jaseera Building Contracting, welcomed the partnership with Casagrand. He highlighted the developer’s delivery record and focus on quality, noting that both companies share similar priorities. Moreover, he said Jaseera’s team was prepared to move into the next stage of construction.
Konikkal added that the contractor would work closely with Casagrand throughout the development process. Their shared objectives include maintaining construction quality, protecting workplace safety and achieving timely completion. These priorities will remain important as the project moves beyond its completed foundation stage.
The Casagrand UAE Project also reflects the developer’s broader strategy to establish a stronger presence in the Emirates. Its planned portfolio of residential and mixed-use developments indicates an intention to expand beyond this initial project. However, the company’s wider plans will depend on the progress of future developments and market conditions.
Dubai Islands continues to attract property developers seeking to serve buyers interested in waterfront locations. Such projects form part of the wider residential development activity across Dubai. Nevertheless, delivery schedules, construction standards and buyer demand will remain important factors as individual projects advance.
With the main contractor now appointed, Casagrand Hermina has reached a significant step towards its planned completion. The developer continues to target a handover in the second quarter of 2028. The Casagrand UAE Project will therefore serve as an important early stage in the company’s planned expansion across the local property market.
