Qatar, Saudi Arabia Discuss Regional Security Efforts

Qatar and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to regional stability during a phone call between their foreign ministers, focusing on diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions across the Middle East.

Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan reviewed the latest regional developments and discussed ways to strengthen security through dialogue and diplomacy.

According to the Qatar News Agency, Al Thani stressed the importance of implementing the commitments outlined in the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. He said adherence to the agreement, including ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, is vital to preserving regional security and maintaining stability.

The Qatari foreign minister also reaffirmed Doha’s support for initiatives aimed at easing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that would contribute to lasting peace in the region.

The discussion reflects ongoing Gulf diplomatic efforts to promote dialogue and reduce regional tensions amid continuing security challenges.
