Oman’s Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said emergency specialists helped save a 15-year-old girl after she suffered an airway obstruction while eating.
According to the authority, the Operations Centre received an emergency call and immediately guided the girl’s family through first aid procedures while medical teams coordinated the response.
Officials said specialists remained on the line to provide step-by-step instructions and reassure family members throughout the incident, helping them stay calm and respond quickly.
The CDAA said the family’s adherence to the emergency guidance helped restore the girl’s breathing before the situation became critical.
Authorities highlighted the importance of contacting emergency services immediately during medical emergencies and following approved first aid instructions until professional assistance arrives.
The incident also underscored the growing role of emergency response centres in providing rapid remote assistance during life-threatening situations.
