Membership numbers increased significantly across the country during the same period. Around 29,000 new members officially joined the library system. Total membership now exceeds 319,000 registered users nationwide across Qatar.

Event participation also increased significantly across various programs and community activities. More than 191,000 participants attended library events during 2025. Feedback surveys showed high satisfaction levels among most attendees overall.
The Qatar library growth milestone includes expansion of the Qatar Reads initiative nationwide. More than 85,000 people participated in its events during 2025. This represents a noticeable increase compared with the previous year.
In addition, the initiative expanded its reach beyond Qatar into several countries. It engaged audiences in Iraq, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and Azerbaijan. This expansion strengthened Qatar’s cultural presence on the international stage.
