Oman Weather Alert: Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Sweep Multiple Regions

A developing weather system continues to impact Oman, bringing unstable conditions across several regions. The Oman weather alert highlights increasing thunderstorm activity and widespread rainfall. Moreover, authorities reported varying rain intensity across multiple governorates. The Oman weather alert urges residents to stay cautious as conditions evolve.

Thunderstorms currently affect South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, and Al Wusta. In addition, rainfall ranges from light showers to heavy downpours in these areas. Meteorological teams continue tracking the movement of the system closely. Furthermore, forecasts show that the system is shifting toward Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi. The Oman weather alert also indicates expansion toward South Al Batinah in the coming hours.

Meanwhile, weather experts expect the system to reach Al Dakhiliyah and North Al Batinah soon. They also predict that Muscat may experience rainfall later. As a result, authorities increased monitoring efforts across vulnerable areas. Emergency teams remain prepared to respond to any incidents quickly. Additionally, officials warned that heavy rain may trigger flooding in low-lying regions.

Authorities stressed the risks associated with fast-flowing wadis and valleys. Therefore, they advised residents to avoid crossing flooded areas under any circumstances. They also encouraged drivers to delay travel during heavy rainfall periods. The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority continues active monitoring across all affected regions. At the same time, teams provide real-time updates to ensure public safety.

Furthermore, rainfall is expected to continue intermittently over the next few days. Some areas may experience intense thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds. Consequently, officials urged the public to remain alert and follow safety instructions. They emphasized the importance of staying informed through official communication channels.

In addition, authorities called on residents to take precautionary measures during unstable weather. They advised securing outdoor items and avoiding unnecessary movement during storms. The Oman weather alert reflects ongoing efforts to reduce risks and protect communities. Overall, officials continue working to manage the situation as conditions develop.
