Saudi Cabinet Condemns Iranian Attacks, Reaffirms Right to Defend Kingdom

Saudi Arabia’s cabinet strongly condemned recent Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom and other countries in the Gulf region. Officials warned that such attacks threaten regional security and violate international law. The cabinet emphasized that protecting the nation and its citizens remains a top priority.

During a session chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman via videoconference, the cabinet reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s right to take all necessary measures to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Ministers stressed that the Kingdom will respond decisively to any threats against its borders, people, and vital infrastructure.

The cabinet also praised the performance of the Kingdom’s air defenses. These forces successfully intercepted and destroyed missiles and drones that attempted to target key sites and facilities. Officials highlighted the professionalism and readiness of the military, noting that these operations safeguarded civilians and critical infrastructure.

Moreover, the crown prince briefed cabinet members on recent phone calls with regional and international leaders. These discussions focused on ongoing consultations regarding regional developments and their impact on security and stability. The cabinet emphasized that dialogue and coordination with partners remain essential for maintaining peace and order.

In addition, the cabinet reviewed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to strengthen coordination with Gulf and Arab partners. Ministers highlighted collaboration with neighboring countries to address regional challenges and prevent further escalation. The cabinet welcomed statements from the Gulf Cooperation Council, the European Union, and the Arab League, all condemning the Iranian attacks and supporting regional stability.

Furthermore, the cabinet took the opportunity to note the upcoming Saudi Flag Day on March 11. Officials described the event as a symbol of the Kingdom’s history, founding principles, and national identity. They emphasized that the flag represents unity, sovereignty, and pride for all citizens.

Saudi Arabia continues to affirm its determination to defend its territory and citizens. The cabinet’s statement highlighted that the Kingdom will act in accordance with international law while ensuring the safety of its people. Officials underscored that maintaining security, stability, and regional cooperation is crucial for the nation and the Gulf.

In conclusion, Saudi Arabia defends its sovereignty firmly. Through diplomatic coordination, strong military readiness, and regional partnerships, the Kingdom seeks to protect its borders, citizens, and strategic interests while promoting regional peace and security.
