Bahrain Sovereignty Message: Jamal Al-Youssef Calls Defense of Nation Personal Duty

A strong Bahrain sovereignty message came from Bahraini sculptor and artist Jamal Al-Youssef, who spoke about national unity and the defense of the country’s security. He stressed that loyalty to the homeland goes far beyond public slogans. Instead, he described it as a personal responsibility that connects history, identity, and the future of the nation. Therefore, he emphasized that every citizen must protect Bahrain’s stability and sovereignty.

During his remarks, Al-Youssef explained that his relationship with Bahrain extends far beyond geography. He said the connection includes heritage, memory, and cultural identity. Moreover, he reflected on the influence of his late father, Nasser Al-Youssef, a prominent Bahraini artist. His father dedicated his career to presenting Bahraini culture on the international stage. Because of this effort, he helped strengthen Bahrain’s presence in global artistic circles.

In addition, Al-Youssef explained that his father believed art preserves national identity. According to him, a nation that tells its story through color, form, and visual language will never disappear. Consequently, that belief shaped his own artistic vision and moral responsibility. He noted that the Bahrain sovereignty message also appears in his sculptures and creative work.

Furthermore, Al-Youssef described Bahrain as a land deeply rooted in history and civilization. He pointed out that the country played an important role in regional trade and culture for centuries. For example, the ancient Dilmun civilization once flourished in the region and helped shape the Gulf’s early history. Because of that heritage, Bahraini society developed a strong sense of resilience and cultural continuity.

At the same time, the artist spoke emotionally about the recent security concerns affecting the region. He said he stands with the country and with the leadership that protects national stability. He also expressed solidarity with Bahraini families who felt anxiety during the recent tensions. According to him, the defense of national sovereignty represents more than politics. Instead, it reflects the safety and dignity of every citizen.

Moreover, Al-Youssef said the artist’s role becomes even more important during difficult moments. Artists help protect cultural memory and national awareness. Through sculpture, painting, and creative expression, they document the identity of their societies. Therefore, he believes art plays a lasting role in shaping how nations remember their struggles and achievements.

He also explained that his sculptures often use glass, steel, and other materials. These materials symbolize strength, transparency, and continuity. Through these works, he attempts to capture the spirit of Bahrain and its long cultural story.

Finally, Al-Youssef concluded by emphasizing that Bahrain has survived centuries of political and historical transformations. Because of its strong culture and people, the nation will continue to endure. He stressed that Bahrain existed long before modern threats appeared. Likewise, he believes the country will remain strong long after those threats disappear. For him, that belief forms the heart of his Bahrain sovereignty message.
