Bahrain’s Civil Defense launched new electronic civil defense services to improve public safety and simplify government procedures. These services are available through the National eGovernment Portal and at the Customer Service Center in the Security Complex.
Brigadier General Ali Mohammed Al-Kubaisi, Director General of Civil Defense, said the services include evacuation procedures, hazardous materials management, civil defense training, and fire protection compliance certificates.
Applicants can now submit engineering and architectural plans electronically through the Binayat system. If a review or discussion is needed, clients can book a virtual appointment through the Mawaeed app. Officials then contact them via video call or WhatsApp.
The service for final inspection certificates to connect electricity to new buildings is fully online. Older buildings must submit applications by email.
The Customer Service Center also provides virtual services for issuing fire reports and delivering engineering, mechanical, and electrical drawings. Clients can reach staff via WhatsApp or email for assistance.
Moreover, Civil Defense offers additional services through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic system. These include approving engineering plans, issuing accident reports, organizing building evacuations, and running training courses. Guidance and documents are provided for every procedure.
These electronic civil defense services reflect Bahrain’s commitment to digital transformation. They boost efficiency, reduce wait times, and improve citizen satisfaction. The center also prioritizes the elderly and people with special needs.
Since its launch, the Customer Service Center received over 7,000 visitors. This year, it completed 3,198 services, handled 3,805 appointment transactions, 3,868 calls, and 353 requests via the Tawasul system.
Finally, the center earned the Gold Category rating in the Government Service Evaluation Program for 2024 and 2025. These electronic civil defense services show Bahrain’s dedication to innovation and citizen-focused solutions.
