Alba Hosts Third Sports Festival in Partnership with International Sports Academies Association

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), in collaboration with the International Sports Academies Association (ISAA), successfully organized the third edition of the Alba Sports Festival on February 14-15, 2025, at the Alba Sports Club in Riffa.

The festival drew around 1,500 amateur athletes from 21 countries and 43 sports academies, offering 18 different sports competitions. These included traditional sports such as swimming, tennis, padel, football, darts, snooker, and bowling, as well as new additions like athletics, arm wrestling, strongest man, and fencing, making the event even more exciting.

On the second day of the festival, Alba’s CEO, Ali Al Baqali, and the President of the International Federation of Sports Academies, MP Ahmed Al Salloum, toured the activities. They were joined by the President of the Bahrain Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Sami Al Haddad, along with representatives from various sports bodies and institutions, as well as senior Alba officials.

Held in conjunction with Bahrain Sports Day, the festival highlighted Alba’s ongoing commitment to promoting youth development and healthy lifestyles. It also reinforced the company’s dedication to the “Sports for All” principle, with a focus on inclusivity. Athletes with disabilities participated in various competitions, showcasing their talents and further emphasizing the festival’s spirit of diversity and community engagement.
