SQU to Host 3rd International Conference on Business and Economics in February 2025

MUSCAT: The College of Economics and Political Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), in collaboration with the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-Up Office, will host the 3rd International Conference on Business and Economics. The event, which will take place from February 17 to 18, 2025, will be held at The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort. The theme of the conference is “Driving Digital Transformation and Connectivity for Sustainable Growth.”

The primary goal of the conference is to create stronger ties between academia and industry. By promoting collaborative efforts, the conference aims to bridge the gap between scientific research and real-world business practices. It will serve as a platform for exploring new research areas, fostering partnerships, and facilitating networking opportunities across multiple sectors.

Key discussions will revolve around digital transformation and its effects on the economy. Topics will include the role of emerging technology enterprises in developing an innovation-driven economy. Additionally, the conference will cover the importance of global partnerships for sustainable development and strategies for economic diversification, which is central to Oman Vision 2040.

The conference will bring together a wide range of professionals, including officials, entrepreneurs, executives, economic researchers, and business leaders. The event will feature distinguished international speakers who will share their insights on various economic topics.

Participants can expect panel discussions, presentations, and real-world case studies. The focus will be on building technology enterprises and integrating them into global markets. Around 50 research papers will be presented, addressing important challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship and the digital economy.
