Al Wusta governorate is moving fast with several Al Wusta development projects to improve roads, services, and residents’ daily lives. More than 22 projects are active across its four wilayats, showing the government’s focus on practical growth.
In Haima, officials are working on seven projects worth RO5.73 million. These include the Knowledge Park and Exhibition Grounds, costing RO796,000. A Camel Racing Track, costing RO248,000, helps keep local traditions alive. The Haima Residential Scheme, costing over RO1.8 million, provides new homes. Authorities are also paving 30 kilometers of roads and installing 250 streetlights for RO2 million. Other works include an agricultural nursery costing RO181,000 and village beautification projects in Abu Madhabi and Al Ajaiz for RO493,000.
In Mahout, six projects worth RO5.87 million are underway. The Central Market project costs RO450,000, while waterfront work totals RO1.5 million. A camel racing track costs RO138,000. Officials are also paving 30 kilometers of roads, building parks, adding shade at beaches, and installing 350 streetlights. A new commercial plan for Al Jawbah is valued at RO2 million.
Duqm is seeing six projects worth RO5.1 million. These include the second phase of Ras Madrakah waterfront at RO265,000, village improvements at RO1 million, and the first phase of Wadi Dharf project at RO744,000 to boost tourism. Parks and beach umbrellas are also being added in Haytam and Ras Madrakah.
Al Jazir is advancing projects worth RO2.84 million. Initiatives include Ras Suqrah beach project at RO188,000, the Al Lakbi beachfront at RO430,000, and 24 kilometers of roads plus 2.5 kilometers of commercial roads. Officials are also installing 322 streetlights.
The governorate is also developing large aquaculture projects. These include shrimp farming projects worth RO462,000 and a sea cucumber farm valued at RO2.31 million. These efforts create jobs and support local economies.
Overall, the Al Wusta development projects show Oman’s focus on better roads, homes, and public spaces. The governorate is making strong, steady progress toward a modern future.
