Qatar Shines at U-17 Handball World Championship, Finishes Fourth

Qatar’s under-17 handball team completed its run at the first-ever World Championship in Morocco, showing Qatar’s youth handball strength. The team finished fourth after losing 23-35 to Spain in the bronze medal match. Despite the loss, the players showed skill, energy, and determination throughout the tournament.

In the group stage, Qatar played in Group B and became the best second-placed team. They beat Tunisia 38-30 and South Korea 45-24, but lost to Spain 23-41. These results helped Qatar reach the semifinals, proving the growth of Qatar’s youth handball strength.

In the semifinals, Qatar faced Germany and lost 22-39. This sent them to the third-place match against Spain. Even with the score difference, the Qatari team played hard, stayed focused, and showed great teamwork. Fans praised the players for their effort and courage. Meanwhile, the final match between Germany and Egypt ended in a close and exciting finish. Germany beat Egypt 44-43 after extra time. They 18-17 at halftime, but Egypt fought back in the second half. Germany scored a tie-breaking goal in the last seconds and won the championship during extra time.
