Dominates Pakistan to Secure Spot in Asia Padel Cup Semifinals

Qatar continued its impressive performance at the FIP Asia Padel Cup with a commanding 3-0 victory over Pakistan. The host nation once again displayed Qatar’s rising padel power as it advanced confidently to the semifinals.

The thrilling match took place at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash International Complex in Doha. Qatar, along with Australia, confirmed their spots in the men’s semifinals following the second round of group-stage clashes. Both teams will discover their semifinal opponents after the final group matches today.

Australia currently tops the group with four points and five rubbers won. However, Qatar trails closely behind with the same points and rubbers, keeping the race extremely tight. Kuwait holds two points from one victory, while Pakistan remains winless at the bottom of the standings.

In Group 1, Iran and the UAE also maintained their unbeaten streaks after two rounds, booking their tickets to the semifinals. Their consistent performances have further fueled excitement in the ongoing championship.

Qatar began the tie in stunning fashion. Mohammed Saadon Al Kuwari and his partner Mashari Naif dominated Hasheesh Kumar and Muhammad Azhar with a clean 6-0, 6-0 win. The duo’s precision and chemistry on the court once again highlighted Qatar’s rising padel power and set the tone for the rest of the match.

Building on that momentum, Hassan Adel Waly and Rashed Naif extended Qatar’s lead by overpowering Danish Ahmad and Muhammad Ahmed Kamil with another 6-0, 6-0 scoreline. Their flawless coordination left little room for their opponents to recover.

In the final rubber, Mohammed Al Khanji and Rayan Abdulla fought hard against Muhammad Salar and Abdullah Adnan. Despite Pakistan’s strong resistance, the Qatari pair triumphed 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, completing a clean sweep for the hosts.

Meanwhile, in Group 1, the UAE defeated Jordan 2-1, while Iran cruised past Lebanon 3-0. In the women’s division, Japan, Iran, and Indonesia continued their dominance, staying unbeaten after two days of competition.

As the final group-stage matches approach, anticipation grows for the semifinals. Qatar looks determined to carry forward Qatar’s rising padel power and make history on home soil.
