Bahrain Cracks Down on Unlicensed Schools to Protect Education Standards

The Ministry of Education in Bahrain has taken firm and decisive action against unlicensed educational institutions. This move reinforces the Kingdom’s dedication to maintaining high-quality education and ensuring that every student learns in a safe and legal environment.

During several field inspections, specialized ministry teams discovered four private schools operating without proper licenses. These schools were receiving children and conducting lessons without the required government approval. In response, the Ministry referred these unlicensed educational institutions to the Public Prosecution for immediate legal action.

The ministry stressed that it will not tolerate any violations of education laws or regulations. It reminded all school owners and administrators that obtaining proper licensing is mandatory before providing any educational service. Every school must also comply with the country’s safety, curriculum, and operational standards to protect students and staff.

Moreover, inspection teams will continue conducting field visits across the Kingdom. Their goal is to detect irregularities early and stop illegal operations before they expand. The Ministry also urged parents to enroll their children only in licensed and approved schools. This guarantees access to trained educators, secure facilities, and a reliable academic curriculum.

In addition, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability within Bahrain’s education system. Through active supervision, it ensures equal opportunities for students and fairness among educational institutions. The recent decision also highlights the government’s broader effort to enhance trust between parents, schools, and officials.

By enforcing these measures, Bahrain aims to preserve the integrity of its education sector. It also supports long-term development through fair competition and strict legal compliance. The Ministry confirmed that it will continue supporting schools that meet all regulations while taking firm action against unlicensed educational institutions.

Ultimately, Bahrain’s message is clear — quality education must always come with responsibility. Every child deserves safe, legal, and excellent learning opportunities.
