Kuwait is advancing a major transformative healthcare project for its citizens. The Prime Minister personally inspected the new cancer center this week. His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah led this important site visit. Senior cabinet ministers accompanied him during the inspection. Furthermore, the government held its weekly meeting directly at the project site. This action highlights the national priority of this medical development. The team received a comprehensive briefing on the facility’s advanced capabilities.

Therefore, the Health Minister Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi detailed the center’s significant impact. He called the project a qualitative leap in patient care. This transformative healthcare project will serve the entire region. Consequently, it is a cornerstone of the Health Ministry’s development strategy. The center will adhere to the very highest international standards. Therefore, it represents a massive upgrade for specialized medical services in Kuwait.

This new facility will offer fully integrated oncology treatments. Its comprehensive system includes care for blood disorders. Additionally, it will provide specialized surgery and radiotherapy. The center will also feature essential social services for patients. Ultimately, this project will greatly enhance the national health system’s capacity. It will provide advanced care locally for Kuwaiti patients. So this initiative will reduce the need for costly treatment abroad.

The massive center will contain an impressive 618 patient beds. Its design features two separate medical towers. It also includes a central services building for staff. A large parking facility will accommodate nearly two thousand vehicles. The center will boast modern operating rooms and intensive care units. It will also contain specialized suites for oncology and physiotherapy treatments.

The facility will utilize the very latest medical technology. Its equipment includes advanced linear accelerators for radiation. It also features CT and MRI simulator machines. The center will contain complete radiology and nuclear medicine departments. Furthermore, it will have central laboratories and a central pharmacy. This aligns the center with the best global standards for operation. The project supports the “New Kuwait 2035” national development vision perfectly.

The Health Minister reaffirmed his ministry’s strong commitment. He praised the national cadres working on this important build. Simultaneously, a separate health awareness campaign launched publicly. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society initiated this breast cancer effort.
