Saudi Arabia Clears Explosives in Yemen Project

Saudi Arabia clears explosives in Yemen project after weeks of intensive operations, removing 815 dangerous devices from multiple regions. Project Masam teams worked tirelessly to ensure civilian safety and restore normal life.

The total of removed explosives included 748 unexploded ordnances, 56 anti-tank mines, six anti-personnel mines, and five improvised explosive devices. Ousama Al-Gosaibi, the initiative’s managing director, highlighted that Project Masam has cleared more than 518,000 mines since it began in 2018.

The explosives threatened civilians, including children, women, and the elderly. Therefore, teams focused on high-risk areas first, prioritizing villages, schools, and main roads. By removing these devices, the project allows safe travel and facilitates humanitarian aid delivery.

The operation extended across Marib, Aden, Jouf, Shabwa, Taiz, Hodeidah, Lahij, Sanaa, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale, and Saada. The teams moved carefully, coordinating with local authorities to ensure efficiency and safety. In addition, they mapped cleared areas to prevent future accidents.

Project Masam also trains local demining engineers. They provide modern equipment and technical guidance to strengthen Yemen’s long-term capacity for mine clearance. Furthermore, the project supports Yemenis injured by explosives, offering medical aid and rehabilitation services.

The key phrase, “Saudi Arabia clears explosives in Yemen”, appears repeatedly in public reports and statements. This phrase reflects the commitment of Saudi Arabia to protecting civilians and supporting regional stability. It emphasizes action, responsibility, and safety. Repeating the key phrase underscores the project’s impact and urgency.

Moreover, the initiative demonstrates regional cooperation and humanitarian responsibility. Saudi teams work closely with local communities, ensuring that operations meet practical needs. They also educate residents about explosive threats and safe practices. By combining training, technology, and support, the project maximizes effectiveness.

Project Masam continues to expand its reach, covering more villages and roads each week. Leaders stress that continuous efforts are crucial to prevent accidents and allow Yemenis to resume normal life. Additionally, the project fosters trust and strengthens relationships between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
