Kuwait hosted a grand celebration marking 215 years of Mexican independence while emphasizing Mexico Kuwait ties. The Embassy of Mexico in Kuwait organized the event to honor both historical and diplomatic milestones. This year also celebrates 50 years of formal diplomatic relations between the two nations. Ambassador Eduardo Patricio Pena Haller highlighted the significance of these enduring Mexico Kuwait ties.
The reception took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Sunday, attracting a distinguished gathering. Kuwait’s Assistant Foreign Minister for the Americas attended as the guest of honor. In addition, senior diplomats, ambassadors, and members of the Mexican expatriate community joined the ceremony. The Ambassador recalled the historic “Grito de Dolores” of 1810, which marked the beginning of Mexico’s fight for independence and sovereignty.
Furthermore, Ambassador Pena Haller detailed the strong bilateral relationship between Mexico and Kuwait. He emphasized that mutual respect and cultural understanding form the foundation of their partnership. Over five decades, both countries have worked closely to promote peace and global development.
