Omani Investment Authority Chairman Meets Algerian President to Strengthen Economic Ties

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), today at the presidential palace in Algiers. This meeting was part of an official visit by an Omani delegation, aimed at exploring new opportunities for economic collaboration and investment between the two nations.

During the discussions, al Murshidi conveyed the warm greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, wishing President Tebboune continued health and well-being, and extending best wishes for the progress and prosperity of the Algerian people.

In return, President Tebboune expressed his gratitude and reciprocated the greetings, sending his well wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and voicing his hopes for further development and prosperity for the people of Oman.

Both sides took the opportunity to highlight the successful areas of existing cooperation between their countries. They also reiterated their commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations across a wide range of sectors, particularly in the fields of investment, trade, and economic development.

The meeting was attended by a delegation of senior Omani officials, including H.E. Dr. Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources; H.E. Dr. Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health; along with several CEOs from companies affiliated with the Oman Investment Authority.

The visit underscores both nations’ shared vision for expanding their economic partnership, with a focus on mutual growth and collaboration across various industries.
