Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, H E Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, held a meeting with Helga Schmid, candidate for the presidency of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and former Executive Secretary-General of the European External Action Service (EEAS), at the Permanent Mission’s headquarters in New York.
The discussion centered on the pivotal role of the UN in upholding the principles of multilateralism and strengthening international cooperation. Both sides explored opportunities to enhance global collaboration and address pressing global challenges.
