Saudi Arabia Esports Event Showcases Digital Innovation at Expo 2025

In Osaka, the Saudi Arabia esports event at Expo 2025 attracted thousands of visitors. Moreover, it highlighted the Kingdom’s growing role in digital entertainment. Held at the Festival Station, the two-day gathering drew 8,500 attendees. In addition, it showcased the nation’s ambition to lead in gaming and esports.

Major organizations also attended, including the Saudi Esports Federation, Qiddiya, Savvy Games Group, the Esports World Cup Foundation, and The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts. Together, they presented the country’s progress and, furthermore, shared future plans for the rapidly growing esports industry.

The program, meanwhile, featured panel discussions on esports, gaming, anime, and Saudi heritage. Attendees explored an interactive gaming arena, and, in addition, they enjoyed a creative photo wall. As a result, the event became both engaging and memorable for visitors.

Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, the Kingdom’s ambassador to Japan and commissioner general of the Saudi Arabia Pavilion, expressed his enthusiasm. Furthermore, he said the Saudi Arabia esports event provided a platform for leaders from Saudi Arabia and Japan to collaborate. In the same way, Binzagr noted the Kingdom’s influence in shaping the global gaming and esports industry.

He also added that the event clearly showed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to innovation, attracting investment, and nurturing gaming talent. Consequently, visitors saw how the Kingdom’s vision aligns with the future of digital entertainment.

Alongside esports activities, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion additionally displayed cultural, heritage, and art exhibits. These gave guests a richer experience and, moreover, demonstrated the depth of the Kingdom’s creative culture. With 700 planned activities, the pavilion ranks second in size only to Japan’s at Expo 2025.

The Festival Station, in turn, became a hub for interactive entertainment during the event. Therefore, this approach strengthened the Kingdom’s image as a hub for innovation and cultural exchange.
