Bahrain Launches Mobile Branch to Expand Housing Finance Access

Housing finance services are reaching citizens more directly in Bahrain with the launch of a mobile branch initiative. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, in cooperation with the Housing Bank, will hold the event from August 1 to August 6, 2025. The mobile branch will be located at Avenues Mall near Gate 1 and will operate daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

This initiative provides citizens with on-the-spot access to housing finance services and related consultations. Staff will answer questions about eligibility criteria, financing options, and application procedures. Visitors can also receive guidance on navigating housing programs such as “Tas’heel+,” “Tas’heel,” and the recently launched “Mazaya.”

Haitham Mohammed Kamal, Director of the Communications Department at the Ministry, stated that this outreach aims to simplify access to housing solutions. According to him, this initiative builds on several previous efforts. These include exhibitions at City Centre Bahrain, the Innovation in Social Housing Conference, and earlier mobile branches in other malls.

Meanwhile, Khalid Ahmed Al Khaja, Senior Manager at Eskan Bank, emphasized the importance of delivering personalized financial advice. He said that the bank will introduce citizens to financing solutions based on their individual needs. Furthermore, visitors can use the digital Bayti calculator to compare options across participating banks.

The mobile branch will also showcase social housing projects developed under the Government Land Development Rights Program. Citizens can explore properties like apartments, residential plots, and houses across Bahrain’s governorates.

To enhance the experience, the Bayti real estate platform will offer digital services on-site. These include reserving units, completing paperwork, and exploring properties with advanced display technologies.

By bringing housing finance services into public spaces, Bahrain aims to raise awareness and increase engagement. The initiative not only simplifies access but also supports long-term national housing goals.

Through collaboration and innovation, Bahrain continues to expand the reach and impact of housing finance services across the country.
