A fully loaded UAE aid ship to Gaza is preparing to leave from Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi in the coming days. The ship, named Khalifa, will head to Al Arish Port in Egypt to support civilians impacted by the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
The shipment forms part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, a relief initiative launched by President Sheikh Mohamed. This operation includes close cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent and several UAE-based humanitarian organizations.
This latest deployment marks the eighth UAE aid ship to Gaza since the conflict between Israel and Gaza began on October 7, 2023. The mission aims to deliver critical aid to thousands of people affected by violence and displacement.
In particular, the ship will carry a fully equipped field hospital. This mobile facility will help address urgent medical needs on the ground. It includes advanced medical equipment, beds, and treatment stations.
Additionally, the vessel will transport ambulances, drinking water tankers, and large stocks of medical supplies. These items are essential for maintaining hygiene and reducing the risk of disease outbreaks in overcrowded areas.
Furthermore, the cargo includes large quantities of food aid. Ready-to-eat meals and cooking ingredients will support field bakeries and community kitchens inside Gaza. Relief workers are also loading tents, hygiene kits, clothing, and mattresses onto the ship.
In total, the UAE has delivered over 55,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid since the conflict erupted. These deliveries have come through more than 500 cargo flights, six transport vessels, and 2,500 land trucks.
Earlier this month, the UAE dispatched its seventh aid ship. That vessel carried 2,500 tonnes of food, including milk, flour, tea, and dates. It initially docked at Ashdod Port in Israel before heading to Gaza.
Officials confirmed the ongoing commitment to supplying life-saving assistance through every possible channel. The repeated launch of each UAE aid ship to Gaza reflects the country’s dedication to humanitarian efforts.
In conclusion, the UAE continues to lead in providing large-scale relief to Gaza’s civilian population. This upcoming shipment reinforces its consistent role in regional humanitarian response.
