Dusty Winds and High Temperatures to Continue in Kuwait Through Sunday

Dusty winds and high temperatures will continue to impact Kuwait through Sunday, as confirmed by the Meteorological Department. A hot, dry air mass, driven by the Indian monsoon depression, now dominates the region. This system pushes strong northwesterly winds that may exceed 60 km/h, disrupting daily routines and raising safety concerns.

These winds stir up dust storms across open and desert areas. Visibility could drop below 1,000 meters, especially along highways and in rural zones. At the same time, sea conditions remain dangerous. Waves may rise above six feet, making the sea unsafe for swimmers, beachgoers, and boat users.

Wind speeds between 15 and 55 km/h are expected through late Sunday. These conditions threaten travel, especially for drivers on exposed roads. Authorities urge motorists to watch for sudden drops in visibility caused by airborne dust and sand.

By Monday, conditions should begin to improve. Winds will slow, although temperatures are expected to rise steadily during the week. Daytime will remain hot and dusty through Sunday evening. Nights will stay warm, with dust slowly settling as the evening progresses.

Forecasts show maximum temperatures reaching between 44°C and 46°C. Minimum temperatures should stay between 30°C and 33°C. Health officials advise residents to stay hydrated, limit sun exposure, and wear light clothing when outdoors.

The Meteorological Department encourages the public to stay updated. Residents can find real-time alerts on the official website, mobile application, and social media accounts. Officials also urge beachgoers to avoid entering the sea during rough conditions to prevent accidents.

Kuwait continues to experience dusty winds and high temperatures, creating difficult conditions for many. Local authorities remain on alert to help the public cope with the situation. Staying informed allows residents to protect themselves and adjust their plans accordingly.

As the week progresses, dusty winds and high temperatures may still pose risks. However, preparation and awareness can ease the impact and keep the public safe.
