Pest Control Campaigns Boost Public Health and Cleanliness Across Qatar Municipalities

Municipalities across Qatar are intensifying pest control campaigns to strengthen public health and ensure a cleaner, safer environment for all residents.

Moreover, the Ministry of Municipality (MoI) confirmed that these efforts will continue throughout 2026, covering all municipalities in the country. This commitment highlights Qatar’s dedication to promoting community health and environmental sustainability.

These extensive pest control campaigns aim to create safer and healthier living conditions for everyone. Additionally, they help support a higher quality of life and reduce potential health risks caused by pests.

As part of the campaign, specialized teams will carry out spraying operations using advanced, environmentally friendly chemicals. Furthermore, they will conduct awareness initiatives to educate the public on harmful habits that lead to insect spread.

The campaigns also focus on encouraging the use of proper waste disposal methods and maintaining clean surroundings. By raising public awareness, authorities aim to build a culture of proactive pest prevention rather than reactive treatment.

In addition, the Ministry urges citizens and residents to use the ‘Oun’ mobile application for pest control services. This innovative app offers a convenient way to request pest control support and stay informed about upcoming campaigns.

Through the app, residents can place service requests directly, call the dedicated hotline, or access services through the website. As a result, the application has already recorded 2,026 service orders, reflecting strong community engagement and growing trust in digital government services.

This initiative aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, which emphasizes sustainable development, environmental preservation, and the well-being of the population. By integrating technology and public cooperation, Qatar showcases its commitment to modern, efficient public health services.

Furthermore, authorities encourage all community members to cooperate with field teams and maintain cleanliness around their homes and neighborhoods. Simple steps like covering trash bins, removing stagnant water, and regularly cleaning outdoor areas can make a significant difference.

Ultimately, these pest control campaigns reinforce Qatar’s unwavering commitment to public health, sustainability, and community safety. Through collective action and innovative solutions, Qatar aims to create a healthier and more vibrant environment for current and future generations.
