AFG College New Programmes Boost Education Opportunities in Qatar

AFG College new programmes will transform higher education choices for students starting September 2025, offering innovative courses, global partnerships, and career-focused opportunities across business, technology, law, and sustainability to meet national priorities and support diverse professional aspirations in an evolving global market.

Moreover, AFG College with the University of Aberdeen plans to launch several new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Once approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, these programmes will meet rising student demand and expand options.

In addition, AFG College new programmes include law, international relations, real estate, computer science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and sustainability. As a result, the total number of programmes will rise to 22.

Furthermore, the College will open a new facility at the iconic NBK 1 building in Msheireb, downtown Doha. This modern space will support more students and improve the overall learning environment. It will also feature advanced lecture theatres, collaborative learning spaces, and state-of-the-art computer labs.

Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al-Thani, Chairperson and Founder of Al Faleh Group, expressed her excitement about this major expansion. She said these new programmes mark a milestone and reinforce the College’s position as Qatar’s top independent higher education provider.

Additionally, she shared that the College is finalizing discussions to introduce a new PhD programme with the University of Aberdeen and the Ministry. This important step aims to strengthen research capacity in Qatar and the region.

Brian Buckley, Principal of AFG College, emphasized the institution’s commitment to world-class teaching and industry-relevant degrees. He explained that these programmes prepare students for a fast-changing global landscape.

Notably, those new programmes were designed with key stakeholders to align with current trends and future needs. Therefore, students can confidently pursue evolving career paths.

Ultimately, AFG College new programmes promise to enhance Qatar’s academic landscape and support national goals for innovation, talent development, and economic growth.
