Imam Hussein Art Festival Opens in Manama Celebrating 26 Years of Cultural Impact

This year’s opening took place near Imam Hussein Street in the capital city. The location added symbolic depth to the occasion. Artists, cultural figures, and the public gathered to take part. Sponsored by the Jafari Endowments Directorate, the festival represents a unique collaboration between faith and art. He also praised renowned Bahraini artist Abbas Al-Mousawi for using his work to promote Bahrain’s image worldwide.

Abbas Al-Mousawi, who founded the festival, spoke during the event. He said this year’s theme encourages peace, especially for children facing conflict. He also emphasized the role of art in conveying spiritual lessons across generations. According to him, the festival helps preserve meaningful traditions through modern methods.

Radwan Al-Moussawi, the executive director, gave a detailed overview of the festival’s progress. He explained how, over 25 years, the Art Festival has developed into a platform for creative freedom. It encourages artists to explore themes like sacrifice, justice, and truth through visual storytelling.
