Oman’s Pavilion Shines at Algiers Fair

Oman’s pavilion at Algiers International Fair is attracting strong attention as the Sultanate participates as the guest of honour. The 56th edition of the fair is now underway, and Oman’s presence highlights both cultural identity and economic diversity.

Oman’s pavilion at Algiers International Fair brings together more than 60 companies. These represent sectors including transportation, pharmaceuticals, real estate, electric converters, tourism, fisheries, and traditional crafts. Food products and Omani halwa also add to the flavor of the event.

Additionally, visitors are experiencing a deep dive into Omani heritage. The exhibit features the historic Al-Aqr neighbourhood. This area was recently revitalized by local communities and connects to Nizwa, an ancient capital known for its halwa-making tradition.

Mahmoud bin Suleiman Al-Yazeedi, Head of Export Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, spoke during the opening. He explained that Oman’s pavilion at Algiers International Fair was designed to reflect the full spectrum of the country’s capabilities.

According to him, the nearly 900-square-metre space includes multiple dedicated areas. These cover government agencies, large enterprises, small and medium businesses, artisans, and cultural organizations. Each section aims to promote Oman’s global trade ambitions.

Furthermore, the pavilion replicates the layout of a traditional Omani village. Visitors walk through areas inspired by the country’s natural beauty and historic architecture. This immersive design allows people to feel the essence of Omani life.

Oman Exports, the national export body, supervised the design and setup. Their goal is to elevate the global footprint of Omani products and support exporters entering new markets. The team carefully coordinated every element to ensure authenticity and engagement.

In addition to products and exhibits, a live Omani folklore troupe performs daily. Their national songs and traditional instruments captivate audiences and spotlight Oman’s artistic heritage. As a result, Oman’s pavilion at Algiers International Fair is doing more than promoting trade. It is building cultural bridges, deepening partnerships, and positioning Oman as a dynamic force in international markets.
