Bahrain Bourse Trading Volume Hits 11.2 Million Bahraini Dinars

Bahrain Bourse trading volume hits 11.2 million Bahraini Dinars this week, marking a notable performance across multiple sectors. Investors showed strong interest in the market, with shares of 30 companies actively traded.

This week, the Bahrain Bourse recorded a total of 51,173,534 shares exchanged. These trades were executed through 481 transactions, amounting to a value of 11,282,053 Bahraini Dinars. Moreover, the activity reflects growing investor confidence and increased market momentum.

Out of the 30 companies traded, share prices rose for eight companies. Meanwhile, ten companies saw a decline in their stock prices. The rest remained unchanged, showing mixed investor sentiment.

Moreover, the Bahrain All Share Index climbed by 2.47%, closing at 1,921.00 points. Last week, it had ended at 1,874.63 points. This rise of 46.37 points signals positive market growth. In parallel, the Bahrain Islamic Index surged by 6.89%, reaching 812.00 points, up from 759.64 points.

Bahrain Bourse trading volume hits 11.2 million Bahraini Dinars this week, largely due to activity in the financial sector. This sector led the week’s trading with a value of BHD 10,145,104. It represented 89.92% of the total traded value. Nearly 48.5 million shares were traded across 145 transactions within this sector.

Additionally, the telecommunications sector followed, contributing BHD 455,327 to the total value. This represented 4.04% of total trades, with over 1.1 million shares exchanged in 53 transactions.

At the company level, Al Salam Bank led the market. It posted a trading value of BHD 8,046,569 and volume of over 38 million shares. This also represented more than 71% of the total value traded this week. Esterad Investment Company came second, with BHD 1,675,641 in trade value. It saw over 7.4 million shares change hands in just seven transactions.

Throughout the four-day trading week, daily averages stood strong. The average daily trading value reached BHD 2,820,513. However, the average daily volume hit 12,793,384 shares. Each day recorded an average of 120 transactions.

In conclusion, Bahrain Bourse trading volume hits 11.2 million Bahraini Dinars this week, supported by solid sector performance and strong investor activity.
