University of Bahrain Appoints New Leaders to Drive Growth

Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the University of Bahrain (UOB), has approved a series of key leadership appointments. These changes aim to reinforce Bahraini academic leadership and prepare the university for the next stage of growth.

The minister appointed Dr. Hussa Jassim Al Junaid as Vice President for Academic Affairs. She brings vast academic experience to her role. In addition, Dr. Israa Ahmed Wali was appointed Vice President for Partnerships and Development. She will lead the university’s external engagement strategy. Both leaders have served UOB with distinction and are committed to its mission.

Moreover, Dr. Abdullah Khaled Al Jalahma will lead the College of Business Administration. Their appointments reflect confidence in internal talent and highlight the value of Bahraini academic leadership.

Dr. Juma emphasized the importance of empowering national talent. He confirmed the board’s continued support for Bahraini academic leadership and its role in shaping the university’s success. By promoting experienced Bahraini staff, the university boosts its capacity to lead in education and research.
